Active Support Unit

Scout Active Support is a way that adults can provide support to local Scouting in a flexible way that suits them.

Who are Scout Active Support Unit members?

A Scout Active Support Unit is a resource for Group Scout Leaders and District Commissioners to develop Scouting.  The Scout Active Support Manager is responsible for the management, leadership and day to day running of a particular Scout Active Support Unit and the work of the Scout Active Support Unit is directly linked into the local Scouting structure.

What does the Scout Active Support Unit do?

The Scout Active Support Unit can be a source of extra adult help in Leader absence. Or they can teach skills that the existing Leader team do not have, such as pioneering or can support training support to new leaders or can provide catering at District events during the year.
